The website DNA Painter developed by Jonny Perl has developed into a veritable toolbox for genetic genealogists. Primarily it provides a way to visualize DNA matching on chromosomes, but it has evolved to provide other helpful tools. The program led by Patti Hobbs will demonstrate how to make the most of DNA Painter. Patti will be presenting in person.

As modern methods of research have changed, so, too, has the way we educate ourselves on doing genealogy. Genealogy education has exploded in the past few years. Virtual genealogy classes have made so much more possible!  Educational opportunities abound for any topic you can dream up.  Where are they?  How do you find them?  Can you afford them?  Don’t get short-changed because you didn’t know about them.
